Remnants of the old theater and the city walls still exist in the modern city; above the walls, there is an area that is surrounded by a portico in opus reticulatum, at the northern side of a rectangular building in opus quadratum followed, which was perhaps connected with the Juno Temple. Here archaic decorative terracotta was in excavations that made make Lord Savile discovered. The Acropolis of the original town was probably north of the temple at the highest point. The neighborhood, which now consists of vineyards, contains many remains of Roman villas, one of which traditionally is attributed to Antoninus Pius.

With the closure of the Temple of Juno Sospita that a millennium the beating heart was good Lanuviums, by edict of Emperor Theodosius I. 391, the deterioration of the city began.
