Zierzow

The municipality is part of the Office Zierzow Grabow in the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ).

The municipality consists of the villages Zierzow and Kolbow.

Geography and Transport

Zierzow is located in the southern part of the Ludwig pleasure Parchim. Two roads cross here. The nearest town Grabow is eight kilometers west from here you get to the main road and 5 to the station on the route Hamburg - Berlin. From the motorway connection Parchim the Federal Highway 24, it is eleven kilometers to Zierzow. Through the municipal area the Tarnitz flows south towards Löcknitz.

History

In the first mention of the Mecklenburg document book from 1312 sold Margrave Waldemar of Brandenburg to the monastery Eldena two hooves land of Zierzow ( " Cyrsowe "). Kolbow 1339 was mentioned for the first time, in this case it was also a land sale.

The community was dominated by 1990 mainly by agriculture.
