Urgnano
Urgnano is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) with 9655 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy. The community is located about 12 kilometers south of the provincial capital of Bergamo on the Strada Statale 591 A few kilometers east of the town flows the core Serio.
History
The territory has been inhabited since the time of the Roman Republic, which occupy grave finds. A documentary mention in 985 calls the place Urgnano. In the 14th century here, the Castello Visconti was built. Especially noteworthy is the Campanile of Cagnola from the 18th century.
