Saulxures-sur-Moselotte

Saulxures -sur -Moselotte ( German: Salzern ) at the Moselotte is a commune with 2742 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Vosges in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Epinal and the Local Government Association, founded in 2002 and is the capital of Haute Moselotte ( chef-lieu ) of the Canton of Saulxures -sur -Moselotte.

Geography

Saulxures -sur -Moselotte is located in the southern Vosges, in the Regional Natural Park of Ballons des Vosges. The average height above sea level is 464 meters, the highest point of 31.87 km ² of the municipal area at 1,005 m.

Neighboring communities of Saulxures -sur -Moselotte are Basse -sur -le- Rupt in the north, Cornimont in the east, Le Menil and Ramon Champ in the south, and Ferdrupt Rupt -sur -Moselle to the south and Thiéfosse in the West.
