Le Syndicat

Le Syndicat is a commune with 1913 inhabitants ( 1 January 2011) in the department of Vosges of Lorraine region. It belongs to the district Epinal, the canton Remiremont and is a member of the local association was founded in 1996 Vallée de la Cleurie.

Geography

The Municipality of Le Syndicat located in the Vosges Mountains, about seven kilometers east of the city Remiremont.

The elongated municipality of Le Syndicat includes the north a portion of the lower Cleurietales to its confluence with the Moselotte. The banks of the Cleurie forms to seven kilometers in length, the northwestern boundary of the municipality. The up to 800 meters above sea level reaching mountain ridge east of Cleurietales are also part of the community. The municipality also up to 1000 meters wide Moselottetal belongs south of the core site and the subsequent, up to 822 m towering mountains. Almost 70 % of the 18.29 km ² large municipality area is forested. These are shares in the large contiguous forests Forêt de Housseramont in the Northeast and Forêt de Longegoutte in the south of the church.   • Le Chanois - two kilometers southwest of the core village on the Moselotte
  • Julienrupt - five kilometers north of the nuclear site at the Cleurie
  • Nol - three kilometers southwest of the core village on the Moselotte, Vagney opposite
  • Peccavilliers - two kilometers southwest of the core village on the Moselotte, Saint- Amé opposite

Neighboring communities of Le Syndicat are Cleurie and La Forge in the north, La Bresse to the northeast, Vagney in the east, Dommartin- lès- Remiremont in the southwest as well as Saint- Amé in the West.

History

The municipality was created in 1790 from the hamlets and farms between Vagney and Saint- Amé as well as from the settlement Julienrupt. The name of the new church was then Syndicat de Saint- Amé. Julienrupt already had a parish and a church that has remained to this day the only one in the community area. Nol is part of the parish area of Vagney, while all other districts are in the parish of Saint- Amé ( this includes the time Bréhavillers today called the nucleus ). In the Nachrevolutionsjahren 1794/1795 the church commune des Sables de Cleurie said. It was given its present name by imperial decree in 1868.

The livelihoods have long been the agriculture, especially livestock and numerous granite quarries on the lower Cleurie and the Moselotte.

Coat of arms

The nine pillars of golden aqueduct symbolize the nine parts of the community ( seven districts and two forest regions). The hammer is to work in the granite quarries, the Mühleisen for the use of water power of the rivers and Cleurie Moselotte. The ram's head characterizes the abundance of wildlife extensive forests in the municipality.

The population of the town of Le Syndicat has risen steadily since the 1960s.

Economy and infrastructure

Le Syndicat is now a community with numerous medium-sized industrial enterprises. For the range of manufactured products in the municipality include granite slabs, special nails, wood products, fruit brandies, bed linen and household appliances (brand Tefal under the umbrella of Groupe SEB). The small commercial areas are scattered throughout the municipality. In addition, the municipality has B & B and holiday homes. Agriculture today plays only a minor role.

Traffic

In Le Syndicat the department 43 road branches off to Saulxures -sur -Moselotte and La Bresse of the Vosges department traversing road 417 ( Remiremont Gerardmer Colmar) from. South of the Moselotte connects the D 23 Saint- Amé with Vagney. From the hamlet of Nol, a road leads through the 550 -meter-high Col de Chenau after Dommartin- lès- Remiremont. The nearest train station is seven kilometers distant city Remiremont.
