Kraam
Kraam, official spelling to 6 December 1935: Craam, is a municipality in the district of Old Churches ( Westerwald) in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Old churches.
Geography
Kraam extends in the valley of Kraamer creek along the county road 19, is located west of Old Churches, about one kilometer northeast of Mehren, and consists of the two districts Heuberg and Kraam. The easternmost Heuberg is located on the regional road 276
History
The first known written record previously found in Kraam lapel of a feudal document from 1411 in which the Cologne subjects are listed in the county of Sayn, who had pledged to Count Gerhard von Sayn for 700 Rhenish florins, the Archbishop of Cologne.

Parish council
The local council in Kraam consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
Attractions
Approximately in the middle of Kraam is a 400 year old oak tree right on the village road. West of the town is the Kraamer mill, which ceased operations some 50 years ago.
