List of Celtic tribes

The list of Celtic tribes is a list of the names are known by the ancient authors, the archaeological finds and the modern Celtic Studies tribes of the Celts.

The Celts were not a uniform nation, but a group of in language, religion, mythology, art and culture, but not necessarily related in genetic terms peoples. The main division of the Celtic peoples differs between mainland and island Celts Celts. In addition to this classification, and there were among the ancient Celts, the division into larger tribes or tribal confederations as well as in smaller sub-tribes ( districts ) and clientele tribes.
