Scott County (Arkansas)

The Scott County is a county located in the U.S. state of Arkansas. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Waldron. The county is one of the Dry counties, which means that the sale of alcohol is restricted or prohibited.

History

2000 2010

The Scott County was formed on November 5, 1833 from parts of Crawford County, of Pope County and Pulaski County. It was named after Andrew Scott (1789-1851), a judge of the Supreme Court of Arkansas - territory and delegate to the State Constitutional Convention of 1836.

Demographic data
