Tulsa County, Oklahoma

Tulsa County is a county located in the state of Oklahoma in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Tulsa.

Geography

The County is located in the central northeastern Oklahoma and has an area of 1520 square kilometers, of which 43 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Washington County, Rogers County, Wagoner County, Okmulgee County, Creek County and Pawnee County.

History

Tulsa County was formed in 1905 as an original county of Muskogee country. It was named after the city of Tulsa.
