Davidson County (Tennessee)

Davidson County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Nashville.

Geography

The County is located north-west of the geographic center of Tennessee, is located in the north about 40 miles from Kentucky and has an area of ​​1363 square kilometers, of which 62 square kilometers are water surface. History

Davidson County was formed on April 18, 1783 from parts of Washington County. It was named after William Lee Daidson, an American war hero who was killed in the Battle of Valley Forge.

Historical buildings
