Timothy J. Roemer

Roemer attended Penn High School in Mishawaka, Indiana and studied at the University of California at San Diego, where he received his Bachelor of Arts ( BA) in 1979. He then continued his studies at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, where he received in 1982 a Master of Arts (MA), and his PhD in 1986.

His political career began in 1970, when he until 1979 on the staff of Congressman John Brademas was active from 1978. From 1985 to 1989 he behörte on the staff of Senator Dennis DeConcini of Arizona.

In the elections for 102 Congress succeeded Roemer to win a mandate and thus to represent the state of Indiana in the House of Representatives of the United States. After a total of five successful elections Roemer did not stand at the 2002 elections to the 108th Congress. He caused quite a stir among fans of conspiracy to September 11, 2001, when he accidentally said on 11 September 2006 in an interview broadcast live on CNN that the Pentagon had been hit by a missile. He corrected himself immediately, although, nevertheless, the corresponding section of the interview takes place since then in many documents of the 9/11 Truth Movements again.

In May 2009, Roemer of President Barack Obama has appointed 21 ambassadors of the United States in India. On July 10, his confirmation was carried out by the U.S. Senate. Roemer began its work on 23 July, and gave the Indian President Pratibha Patil his accreditation papers on August 11.
