Harry E. Rowbottom

Harry Emerson Rowbottom ( born November 3, 1884 in Aurora, Dearborn County, Indiana, † March 22, 1934 in Evansville, Indiana ) was an American politician. Between 1925 and 1931 he represented the State of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

1885 pulled Harry Rowbottom with his parents to Ludlow in Kentucky, where he attended the public schools. In 1901 he graduated from Ludlow High School. Between 1902 and 1904 he attended the Kentucky State College, Lexington. In the years 1904-1907 he acted with lubricating oil. At the same time he studied at the Cincinnati Business Center Accounting. Until 1912 he worked in Cincinnati and then in Chicago as an auditor. Politically, Rowbottom member of the Republican Party. Between 1919 and 1923 he sat as an MP in the House of Representatives from Indiana. In the congressional elections of 1924 he was the first electoral district of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of William E. Wilson on March 4, 1925. After two re- election he was able to complete in Congress until March 3, 1931 three legislative periods. These were shaped by the events of the world economic crisis since 1929.

1930 Rowbottom was not re-elected. In the following years he worked as a commercial agent for a truck forwarding. Harry Rowbottom died on March 22, 1934 in Evansville.
