David W. Evans

David Walter Evans ( born August 17, 1946 in Lafayette, Indiana) is an American politician. Between 1975 and 1983 he represented the State of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

David Evans attended the public schools in Shoals. Then he studied until 1969 at Indiana University and until 1971 at Butler University. From 1968 to 1974 he taught the specialized social sciences. Politically, Evans joined the Democratic Party. In 1974 he was a delegate to the Mid-Term Convention.

In the congressional elections of 1974, Evans was the sixth electoral district of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of William G. Bray on January 3, 1977. After three re- elections, he was able to complete in Congress until January 3rd, 1983 four legislative sessions. In 1982 he was not re-elected. Since his retirement from the U.S. House of Representatives Evans works as a policy adviser in the federal capital Washington.
