Todd Young

Todd Christopher Young ( born August 24, 1972 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania) is an American politician. Since 2011 he represents the state of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Todd Young attended the public schools in Hamilton County, Indiana. In the years 1990 and 1991 he served in the U.S. Navy. Then he studied until 1995 at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis (Maryland ); then he served between 1995 and 2000 in the United States Marine Corps. In addition, he was still studying at the University of Chicago and the University of London in the British capital. After a subsequent law degree from Indiana University and his made ​​in 2006 admitted to the bar he began to work in his new profession. From 2007 to 2010 he was deputy district attorney in Orange County.

Politically, Young joined the Republican Party. In the years 2001 to 2003, he worked for U.S. Senator Richard Lugar. In the congressional elections of 2010, he was at 52.2 percent of the vote in the ninth electoral district of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of him previously defeated Democrat Baron Hill on January 3, 2011.
