Attenhausen

Attenhausen is a municipality in the Rhein- Lahn-Kreis in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Nassau.

Geography

Attenhausen is in the Taunus on a hill overlooking the Dörsbachtal. To Attenhausen includes the residential places Dörsbachtal, Bilohof and distant look.

History

The place was first in 1142 under the name Hattenhausen mentioned as the Foundation's Abbey Arnstein documented. From 1355 it belonged to the " Vierherrischen ", ie the reign of four masters of the facilities. From 1806 the town was part of the duchy of Nassau, which was annexed in 1866 by Prussia. Since 1946 it has been part of Rhineland- Palatinate.

Parish council

The local council in Attenhausen consists of eight council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
