Rettert

Rettert is a municipality in the Rhein- Lahn-Kreis in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Katzenelenbogen.

History

Rettert was first mentioned in 1250 and belonged was the mid-14th century to rule on the four institutions. From 1777 Rettert was the common men Nassau-Weilburg and Nassau- Usingen slammed. Since 1806 it belonged to the Duchy of Nassau, which was annexed in 1866 by the Kingdom of Prussia. Since 1946 Rettert is part of Rhineland- Palatinate. 1972 came in the wake of an administrative reform to form the municipality Katzenelenbogen who belongs to the local church Rettert.

Parish council

The local council in Rettert consists of eight council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
