Klingelbach

Klingelbach is a municipality in the Rhein- Lahn-Kreis in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Katzenelenbogen.

Geography

Klingelbach is on the institutions, the slightly lower north-western part of the Taunus. Klingelbach is the Kirchdorf of the central Einrichs.

History

For the first time, the place in 1184 in a document by Pope Lucius III. called, in the he divided Klingelbach in Klingelbach beyond the brook and on this side of the creek. Not until 1818 was formed from the settlement of a separate municipality, which was part of the Duchy of Nassau. Nassau and with him Klingelbach was annexed in 1866 by Prussia. Since 1946 Klingelbach is part of Rhineland- Palatinate. 1972 came in the wake of an administrative reform to form the municipality Katzenelenbogen who belongs to the local church bell Bach.

Parish council

The local council in Klingelbach consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 a proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
