Ruppertshofen, Rhineland-Palatinate

Ruppertshofen is a municipality in the Rhein- Lahn-Kreis in Rhineland- Palatinate. It lies in the Taunus and belongs to the municipality of Nastaetten.

History

Ruppertshofen is mentioned in records in 1364 than in the possession of the Counts of Katzenelenbogen. Ruppertshofen was at times a city with its own market law and belonged to the " Vierherrischen " area on the facilities. Beginning in 1794, temporarily occupied by the French, the place was in 1806 assigned to the Duchy of Nassau. 1861 was a synagogue in the town. In 1866, the Duchy of Nassau was annexed by the Kingdom of Prussia. Since 1947 Ruppertshofen is part of the newly founded state of Rhineland- Palatinate.

Parish council

The local council in Ruppertshofen consists of eight council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
