Coat of arms

The Coat of Arms description is: " split plate, front in blue, with golden bestreutem shingles field rotbewehrter and gezungter golden lion, back in silver a red cross bar, topped with a golden cup."

The territorial affiliation of more than 500 years is reflected in Prather municipal coat of arms. The Lion of the Duchy of Nassau stands for a brief, but formative epoch, because the place was 1803-1866 of Nassau. He was one of the previous 450 years to the Electorate of Trier, the secular and ecclesiastical power united in one hand and is represented by the red bar cross. The golden chalice refers to the patron saint of the church and parish, St. Goar, which is represented with this attribute in St. Goar Collegiate. The coat of arms was approved on 11 April 1978.
