Mittelfischbach

Mittelfischbach is a municipality in the Rhein- Lahn-Kreis in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Katzenelenbogen.

History

In 1348 the place is called for the first time and was subordinated to 1775 the four rule on the institutions. Since 1806 it belonged to the Duchy of Nassau. Ecclesiastical belonged to the parish Mittelfischbach Klingelbach. There was until 1853 three Fischbachs: Oberfischbach, Mittelfischbach and low Fischbach. Niederfischbach disappeared in 1853 when all the inhabitants emigrated to America. 1866 Nassau was annexed and with him Mittelfischbach of Prussia. Since 1946 Mittelfischbach is part of Rhineland- Palatinate. 1972 came in the wake of an administrative reform to form the municipality Katzenelenbogen who belongs to the local church Mittelfischbach.

The local council in Mittelfischbach consists of six council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.
