Niederbachheim

Niederbachheim is a municipality in the Rhein- Lahn-Kreis in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Nastaetten.

Location

Niederbachheim is in the Taunus in the so-called Blue Country, a region around the small town Nastaetten far from the state road 335 neighboring towns are Oberbachheim in the West ( 1 km), Kehlbach and Dessighofen in the North ( 1 km), Geisig in the north- east ( 2km), Marienfels in south East ( 3 km) and Gemmerich in the south ( 2 km).

History

Niederbachheim was probably already settled in Frankish times. First mentioned was the place in 1145 as Bacheim as an asset of the monastery Schönau, which is to assume that this good was in Niederbachheim.
