Bogel

Bogel is a municipality in the Rhein- Lahn-Kreis in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Nastaetten. Bogel is a nationally recognized tourist.

Geography

The village lies on the main road 274 between Wiesbaden and Koblenz in the foothills of the Taunus. To Bogel include the residential places Birkenhof, Tannenhof and Waldeck.

History

Bogel is mentioned in 1472 as a fief of the imperial abbey of Prüm and sold after 1670 to Landgrave Ernst von Hessen- Rhein rock. Since 1806 the town to the Duchy of Nassau, and from 1866 was part of the Kingdom of Prussia.

Since 1946 Bogel is part of Rhineland- Palatinate then newly founded.
