Bill Flores

William H. "Bill" Flores ( born February 25, 1954 in Cheyenne, Wyoming) is an American politician. Since 2011 he represents the state of Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Bill Flores studied until 1976 at the Texas A & M University and thereafter until 1985 at the Baptist University in Houston. He then worked in the private sector and made a career in the oil and gas industry. In this industry, he worked for several companies in different positions. Finally, he was CEO of Phoenix Exploration Company. He was also a member of the Texas Real Estate Commission.

Politically, Flores joined the Republican Party. In the congressional elections of 2010 he was in the 17th electoral district of Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he succeeded the Democrats Chet Edwards took 3 January 2011, he had hit 61.8 % of the vote. Flores is a member of the Budget Committee, the Veterans Committee and the Committee on Natural Resources, and in three sub-committees. He is regarded as very conservative.

Bill Flores is married and has two children. The family lives privately in Bryan.
