Ed Foreman

Early years

Ed Foreman attended the public schools of his home and then to 1953 the Eastern New Mexico University in Portales. Until 1955 he studied at the New Mexico State University. In the years 1956 and 1957 he was a Marine in the U.S. Navy, whose reserve he also belonged later. He was also a member of the Reserve of the U.S. Air Force. Political career

Ed Foreman became a member of the Republican Party, the Republican National Convention he attended in the years 1964 and 1968 as a delegate. In the congressional elections of 1962 he ran successfully in the 16th electoral district of the State of Texas for the U.S. House of Representatives. There he took over from the January 3, 1963 JT Rutherford. After 1964 he was inferior to Richard Crawford White of the Democratic Party, he was able to complete only one term in Congress until January 3, 1965.

In 1968, Foreman once again a candidate for Congress, this time for the second electoral district of New Mexico. After retiring from Congress in 1971 Foreman worked for the Ministry of the Interior in Washington. From 1972 to 1976 he was then head of department in the Ministry of Transport.
