Michael A. Andrews

Michael Allen Andrews ( born February 7, 1944 in Houston, Texas ) is an American politician (Democratic Party). He represented the state of Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives.

After his high school graduation in Fort Worth in 1962, Michael Andrews attended the University of Texas in Austin and received a Bachelor of Arts there in 1967. Three years later, the Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, and he was admitted to the Bar of Texas in 1971 and begannt to practice as a private lawyer. After working as a Law Clerk in a federal district judge, he served 1972-1976 as a Deputy District Attorney in Harris County. Then he ran until 1983 again his own law firm.

1982 Andrews was in the newly refurbished 25th District of Texas in Congress, where he exercised his mandate after repeated re-election of January 3, 1983 to January 3, 1995. In 1994, he did not run again, but ran for a seat in the U.S. Senate. However, in the Democratic primary, he finished only third place.
