Blake Farenthold

Randolph Blake Farenthold ( born December 12, 1962 in Corpus Christi, Texas ) is an American politician. Since 2011 he represents the state of Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Blake Farenthold studied until 1985 at the University of Texas at Austin entertainment knowledge sheep with emphasis on radio, television and film. After a subsequent law degree from St. Mary's University in San Antonio and his 1989 was admitted as a lawyer, he began to work in this profession. At the same time he proposed as a member of the Republican Party launched a political career.

In the congressional elections of 2010 Farenthold in the 27th electoral district of Texas was in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Solomon P. Ortiz on January 3, 2011. Previously, he had defeated longtime Democratic incumbent very surprising by a margin of 799 votes. Blake Farenthold is married and has two daughters. Private family lives in Corpus Christi.
