Pete Olson

Peter Graham " Pete " Olson ( born December 9, 1962 in Fort Lewis, Washington) is an American politician. Since 2009 he represents the state of Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Pete Olson visited the Clear Lake High School in Houston and then studied until 1985 at the city's Rice University. This was followed up in 1988 to study law at the University of Texas at Austin. Between 1988 and 1997, Olson served in the U.S. Navy, whose reserve he belongs to this day. At the same time he began a political career as a member of the Republican Party. From 1998 to 2002 he worked on the staff of U.S. Senator Phil Gramm, and then for Senator John Cornyn.

In the congressional elections of 2008, Olson was the 22nd electoral district of Texas in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Nick Lampson on January 3, 2009. According to previously re-election, he can exercise his mandate in Congress today. He is a member of the Committee on Energy and Commerce as well as in two sub-committees.

Pete Olson is married and has two children. He and his family lived privately in Sugar Land.
