McPherson County is a county located in the state of Nebraska in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Tryon.

Geography

The County lies to the west of the geographic center of Nebraska and has an area of ​​2227 square kilometers, of which 3 square miles is water area. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Hooker County, Thomas County, Logan County, Lincoln County, Keith County and Arthur County.

History

McPherson County was formed in 1887. It was named after Union General James B. McPherson.
