Hall County (Nebraska)

Hall County is a county located in the U.S. state of Nebraska. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Grand Iceland, which was named after the island in the Platte River.

Geography

The County is located southeast of the geographic center of Nebraska, is located in the south about 80 miles from Kansas and has an area of 1430 square kilometers, of which 15 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Merrick County, Hamilton County, Adams County, Buffalo County and Howard County.

History

Hall County was formed in 1858. It was named after Augustus Hall, an early judge of this territory.
