Polk County (Nebraska)

Polk County is a county located in the state of Nebraska in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Osceola. The city was named after the chief of the people of Osceola Seminoles and was home to three governors of Nebraska: Albinus Nance, John Hopwood Mickey and Ashton Shallenberger. 1895 a fire destroyed all buildings except two.

Geography
