Buckingham County is a county located in the state of Virginia in the United States. In 2000, the County had 15,623 inhabitants and a population density of 10 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Buckingham.

Geography

Buckingham County is located near the geographic center of Virginia and has an area of ​​1511 square kilometers, of which seven square kilometers of water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Fluvanna County, Cumberland County, Prince Edward County, Appomattox County, Nelson County and Albemarle County.
