Bedford County is a county located in the state of Virginia in the United States. In 2000, the County had 60 371 inhabitants and a population density of 31 inhabitants / km ². The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Bedford.

Geography

Bedford County is situated just south-west of the geographic center of Virginia, about 60 km and 65 km to the south of North Carolina is in the west away and has an area of ​​1992 square kilometers, of which 38 square kilometers are water surface.
