Mecklenburg County is a county located in the state of Virginia in the United States. In 2000, the County had 32,380 inhabitants and a population density of 20 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Boydton. The county is one of the Dry counties, which means that the sale of alcohol is restricted or prohibited.

Geography

Mecklenburg County is located in the extreme south of Virginia, bordering North Carolina and has an area of ​​1759 square kilometers, of which 143 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the counties of Halifax, Charlotte, Lunenburg and Brunswick in Virginia and Warren, Vance and Granville in North Carolina.
