Augusta County is a county located in the state of Virginia in the United States. In 2000, the County had 65 615 inhabitants and a population density of 26 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Verona.


Augusta County is in the northwest of Virginia, is bordered to the upper northwest of West Virginia and has an area of ​​2515 square kilometers, of which one square kilometers of water surface. The County is divided into seven administrative units: Beverley Manor, Middle River, North River, Pastures, River Heads, South River and Wayne.
