Botetourt County is a county located in the state of Virginia in the United States. In 2000, the County had 30,496 inhabitants and a population density of 22 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Fincastle. The county is one of the Dry counties, which means that the sale of alcohol is restricted or prohibited.

Geography

Botetourt County is located in western Virginia, is located in the west about 30 miles from West Virginia and has an area of ​​1414 square kilometers, of which eight square kilometers of water surface. History
