St. John's Maple Leafs

The St. John 's Maple Leafs were a Canadian ice hockey team from St. John's, Newfoundland, who played in the American Hockey League from 1991 to 2005. The franchise was at this time farm team of the Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL, whose logo they used in a slightly modified form.

History

In 1991, the Newmarket Saints, resettled to date farm team of the Toronto Maple Leafs, of Newmarket, Ontario to St. John's to play there under the new name.
