David Joyce (politician)

David P. Joyce ( born March 17, 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio) is an American politician. Since 2013 he represents the state of Ohio in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

David Joyce visited the West Geauga High School in Chesterland and then studied until 1979 at the University of Dayton. After a subsequent law degree from the same university in 1982 and was admitted to his lawyer, he began to work as a lawyer. Between 1983 and 1984 he was a trial lawyer in Cuyahoga County and then to 1988 in Geauga County. Then he was in this district from 1988 to 2013 worked as a prosecutor. Politically, he joined the Republican Party.

In the congressional elections of 2012, Joyce was charged with 54.04 percent of the vote in the 14th electoral district of Ohio in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of not more candidates Steve LaTourette on January 3, 2013. He is a member of the Appropriations Committee and three of its subcommittees.

Joyce is married and father of three children.
