Ronald M. Mottl

Ronald Milton Mottl ( born February 6, 1934 in Cleveland, Ohio ) is an American politician of the Democratic Party. From 1975 to 1983 he was a member of the House of Representatives of the United States for the 23th Congressional District of the State of Ohio.

Biography

Ronald Milton Mottl was born in Cleveland. At the University of Notre Dame, he studied law. From 1960 to 1966 he was a member of the City Council of Parma. He was a member of the House of Representatives from Ohio Mugs by 1967 until 1968. Subsequently, he sat until 1974 in the state Senate.

In the congressional elections in 1974, he was elected to represent the 23rd District of Ohio in the U.S. House of Representatives. He sat there until his retirement in 1983. He then went back to his home state to again be active as a local politician. In the period from 1987 to 1997 he sat again in the House of Representatives from Ohio.

He lives in North Royalton. There he was his party's candidate for mayor in 1999, but remained unsuccessful.
