Jean Spencer Ashbrook

Jean Spencer Ashbrook ( born Emily Jean Spencer, born September 21, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American politician of the Republican Party. From 1982 to 1983 she represented the 17th congressional district of the U.S. state of Ohio in the House of Representatives of the United States.

Biography

Jean Spencer Ashbrook was born in Cincinnati. She attended the Central School in Newark and graduated in 1952 at the Neark High School. In 1956, she completed a degree at the Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1974 she married John M. Ashbrook. Your husband- sat from 1961 until his death on 24 April 1982 at the House of Representatives. Jean Spencer Ashbrook won the Special Election to succeed him and sat until 1983 as the successor to her husband in the House of Representatives.

She lives in Newark.
