Bob Gibbs

Bob Gibbs ( born June 14, 1954 in Peru, Indiana ) is an American politician of the Republican Party. Since January 3, 2011, he is a member of the House of Representatives of the United States first, he represented the 18th Congressional District of the State of Ohio, January 3, 2013, the 7th district.

Biography

Bob Gibbs was born in Peru in the U.S. state of Indiana. In the 1960s, his family moved to Cleveland. There, Bob visited the Bay Village Senior High School, which he completed successfully. In 1974 he graduated with a degree in agricultural sciences at Ohio State University. He moved to Lakeville, where he became co-owner of Hidden Hollow Farms Ltd. Previously delivered Hidden Hollow Farms pork, wheat and soybeans are now grown and sold primarily. He was also official with the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation. From 2003 to 2009 he sat in the House of Representatives from Ohio, from 2009 to 2010 in the State Senate.

In the congressional elections in 2010 he was able to conquer the seat of Zack Space and represents the 18th District of Ohio since in Washington DC. 2012, he stood as a candidate in the 7th District and was elected there back in the House. He is a member there in the United States House Committee on Agriculture and in the United States House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, and in some sub-committees.

Gibbs is married to Jody and father of three grown children. Together they live in Nashville.
