Ed Feighan

Edward "Ed" Feighan Farrell ( born October 22, 1947 in Lakewood, Ohio ) is an American politician of the Democratic Party. From January 3, 1983 to January 3, 1993, he was a member of the House of Representatives of the United States for the 19th Congressional District of the state of Ohio.

Biography

Feighan graduated in 1965 at the St. Edward High School in the west of Cleveland. In 1969, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Loyola University in New Orleans. From 1973 to 1978 Feighan sat in the House of Representatives from Ohio. During this time he studied law at Cleveland State University. In 1977 he ran for mayor of Cleveland, but could not prevail against Dennis Kucinich himself. Between 1978 and 1983 Feighan was employed by the Cuyahoga County. In 1982, he ran successfully for a seat then the House of Representatives in Washington, DC Henceforth, he represented the 19th electoral district of Ohio. He has not been nominated by his party in 1992.

After the end of his political career Feighan worked in various positions in the private sector. Meanwhile, he has retired from public life.
