David R. Paige

David Raymond Paige ( born April 8, 1844 in Madison, Ohio, † June 30, 1901 in New York City ) was an American politician of the Democratic Party. March 4, 1883 to March 3, 1885 he was a member of the House of Representatives of the United States for the 20th Congressional District of the State of Ohio.

Biography

Paige was born in Madison. There he attended the public schools. In 1865, he graduated from Union College. He then worked as a businessman in Akron. In the years 1875-1879 he worked for the Summit County.

For the Democratic Party Paige was in 1882 elected in the 20th electoral district of Ohio in the U.S. House of Representatives. As early as 1884 he was not re-elected. From then on he again worked as a businessman. Paige died in 1901 in New York City. He was buried at the Evergreen Cemetery in Painesville.

Paige was 1870-1877 married to Ellen Lewis King. She died in 1877. Together both had two sons. 1884 Paige married Eva Bell Leek.
