John J. Whitacre

John Jefferson Whitacre ( born December 28, 1860 in Decatur, Burt County, Nebraska; † December 2, 1938 in Miami, Florida ) was an American politician of the Democratic Party. March 4, 1911 to March 3, 1915, he was a member of the House of Representatives of the United States for the 18th Congressional District of the State of Ohio.

Biography

Whitacre was born in Decatur. There he attended the school. Later he studied at the University of Michigan. He was an entrepreneur from now on. In 1912 he was a delegate at the Democratic National Convention. For the first time in 1908, he ran for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.

1910 was successful his candidacy. He represented the 18th district from where they henceforth Ohio. In 1915 he resigned from the Congress. From then on, he worked as an entrepreneur again.

He died in 1938 in Miami, where he spent his last years of life. He was buried at the Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia.
