Daniel Kilgore (politician)
Daniel Kilgore (* 1793 in Kings Creek, Hancock County, West Virginia, † December 12, 1851 in New York City, New York ) was an American politician of the Democratic Party. From 1 December 1834 to 4 July 1838 he was a member of the House of Representatives of the United States for the 19th Congressional District of the State of Ohio.
Kilgore was born in Kings Creek in the State of West Virginia. There he attended the school. He moved to Cadiz. From 1828 to 1832 Kilgore sat in the state Senate.
Due to the resignation of Humphrey H. Leavitt Kilgore was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in a Special Election in the 19th Congressional District of Ohio in 1834. On the 19th District, he represented there until 1838, when he retired prematurely from politics.
1851 Kilgore died in New York City.
