Earl T. Wagner

Earl Thomas Wagner ( * April 27, 1908 in Cincinnati, Ohio; † March 6, 1990 ) was an American politician of the Democratic Party. From 1949 to 1951 he was a member of the House of Representatives of the United States for the 2nd Congressional District of the State of Ohio.

Biography

1908 Earl Thomas Wagner was born in Cincinnati. He attended Christian and secular schools. In 1930 he completed his studies in law at the University of Cincinnati. In the same year he was admitted to the bar and practiced henceforth as a lawyer in Cincinnati. 1933 and 1934 he worked for the Home Owners' Loan Corporation. 1937 and 1938 he was an advisor to the Attorney General of Ohio. As a lawyer he stood in 1938 and 1939 in the service of the city of Sharonville. Member of the Board of Education of Cincinnati, he was from 1944 until 1947.

In the congressional elections in 1948, he moved as a representative of the 2nd District Congress from Ohio to a U.S. House of Representatives. There he represented the 2nd District for a term of office. 1950, 1952 and 1954, he tried unsuccessfully to be re-elected to the House of Representatives. He was from then returned to the bar in Addyston. Wagner has also worked as a consultant for a bank. Until his death in 1990 Wagner lived in Cincinnati.
