List of United States Representatives from Ohio

This list lists all the politicians who have been a member since 1799 for the Northwest Territory and later the state of Ohio House of Representatives of the United States. After the accession of the State to the Union in 1803, initially existed only one congressional district in which the respective MPs all across the state ("at large" ) was chosen. Even the adjustment after the next census resulted in an increase to six mandates from the year 1813. According to a further increase in the population of the interim high of 21 members of Congress from 1843 to 1863 was achieved. This number was subsequently first slightly back, but rose again. Had the high of 24 deputies from 1933 to 1943 and from 1963 to 1973 inventory. Since then, a steady decline occurred; since the year 2013, Ohio only another 16 deputies in Washington. Was usually chosen separately for electoral districts. From 1913 to 1915, from 1943 to 1953 and from 1963 to 1967 a mandate was awarded all across the state, 1933-1943 two.

With William Henry Harrison, Rutherford B. Hayes, James A. Garfield and William McKinley were four later U.S. president for Ohio House of Representatives.
