Mike Oxley

Michael Garver "Mike" Oxley ( born February 11, 1944 in Findlay, Ohio ) is an American politician who represented the state of Ohio in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Mike Oxley first studied art and then law. In 1969 he completed his second degree at the Ohio State University. In the same year he began to work for the FBI and to get involved in the Republican Party. From 1972 to 1981 he was a delegate in the House of Representatives from Ohio. From 1981 to 2007 he was a member of the Congress for the fourth electoral district of Ohio. In the House, he was also chairman of the Finance Committee. His successor as deputy went to Jim Jordan.

Oxley became known outside the United States primarily as a co-founder and name of the donor co-authored with Paul Sarbanes Sarbanes- Oxley Act of 2002.
