Washtenaw County is a county located in the U.S. state of Michigan. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Ann Arbor.

History

The Washtenaw County was formed on December 31, 1826 from parts of Oakland County and Wayne County. It was named after the Native American expression O -wash -ten- nong.
