Athletics at the 2000 Summer Olympics

The XXVII. Summer Olympic Games 2000 in Sydney found 46 competitions take place in athletics.

Marion Jones, 2000-2007 conducted three times gold and two times bronze medalist, was disqualified on 12 December 2007. She had already returned the medals after a doping confession on October 8, 2007. Jones ' medals in the 200 - meter dash and long jump were awarded to the following athletes. In the 100 -meter run, the first place remains vacant.
