Dan Lungren

Daniel Edward " Dan " Lungren ( born September 22, 1946 in Long Beach, California) is an American politician of the Republican Party, former Attorney General of California and 1979-1989 and 2005-2013 Member of the U.S. House of Representatives for California.

Biography

Lungren is one of the sons of John C. Lungren, Sr., the personal physician of President Richard Nixon. He studied after attending St. Anthony High School in Long Beach 1964-1968 English at the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA English). A subsequent post-graduate studies in law at the University of Southern California and Georgetown University, he finished in 1971 with a Juris Doctor ( JD). After qualifying in 1972, he worked in the meantime and also activities, a member of the Republican senators from California, George Murphy, and Tennessee, Bill Brock as a lawyer.

His political career began in 1974 to 1979 as a delegate at the Republican Convention in California to nominate the Republican candidate for governor, and from 1977 to 1978 as a Co - Chairman of the Congressional National Council.
